Y’all. These are my in laws. I married into one of the most beautiful (inside and out) families. Every time we go back to California to see my husband’s families I take family photos for them. I think the first photos we took were when they came to visit us in Washington. The oldest gal, Maggies, was two almost three. Now she’s almost seven. They’ve added the newest babe, Abby. Abby and my Madi are only a few months apart. Which we are so ecstatic for, built in best friends! These images were taken at Pinnacles State Park near Hollister, CA. It was SO hot this day! Originally I had planned on sunset beach session at Big Sur, but California is crazy. I went out the night before, and low and behold- absolutely NO SUN. Summer’s are tricky near Big Sur, the fog likes to come in a few hours before sunset and never leave. Like ever. Ok that’s an exaggeration but it totally killed our vibes. Till Katie suggested we move out here. So we loaded up the cars, we found a gorgeous spot and got to it. Again, it was over 90 something outside, I was tula’ing Madi, she wasn’t feeling it. All the girls wanted to do was run around and play and throw rocks. Despite all the changes and last minture “oh wait lets do this!”’s, I’m super happy with how these turned out and I’m so glad these girls will have these to look back on growing up!
